Red Chutney

Red Chutney is a quick chutney that can be made in minutes and served with a wide variety of appetizers and snacks. You can use this instead of tamarind chutney for samosas, pakodas, chole, and bhel puri. This is a real easy recipe.

Servings: 6-8
Cooking Time: 3 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tsp tamarind paste (or if soaking tamarind, 1 cup strained and thick paste)
  • 1 tbsp chaat masala (available in Indian grocery stores)
  • Salt to taste

Preparation

  1. In a blender, pulse all ingredients until mixed well.

  2. Serve the red chutney with samosas or other appetizers.
